Finding spots for stretching legs can lead you to some really cool places! I like to check Roadside America for cool places to see along our route. For example, if you are passing through Austin you’ll enjoy checking out the Cathedral of Junk.

Take the KIDS Texas Fall Foliage

Take the KIDS Texas Fall Foliage. Crisp fall temperatures bring on the gorgeous colors of fall leaves. In some parts of the country more so than others – mostly the northeast of the country.

Growing up in the far south of Texas, seeing the lovely colors of leaves was something I always dream of. But, as it often does, life got in the way.

Thankfully, the fall leaves of the far northern portion of the United States isn’t something I’ve been able to see.

So, thanks Take the KIDS Texas Fall Foliage, I got close to seeing the fall foliage one year in Dallas, Texas with th...

Flying When Things Go Wrong

Flying When Things Go Wrong. The adventure journey of every vacation begins when you leave the house. You hope that your flight goes well and smoothly, on time and that your luggage arrives with you – at the same destination and at the same time that you do!

But, we all know that things go wrong.

Flights can be delayed or canceled.

Toddlers meltdown.

Luggage can be lost, delayed, or take a trip without you.

Kids cry.

Babies poop on you – or vomit or pee.

Sometimes all of those things happen on the very same trip.

When you are flying with kids and something bad happens: Don’t Panic.

This too shall pass.

You are NOT the only pa...
